Description
The Gotham 11301 GAC-4/1 Star-Quad cable is the most advanced microphone cable manufactured by Gotham presently available. Gotham has combined an ultra-flexible PVC-jacket, low capacitive PE insulation, Double Reussen shielding and quad (4-conductor) construction for a truly professional cable at an affordable price. The Star-Quad concept is known and recommended where the RF-rejection is the most important factor and where very long cable runs are needed. Two conductors is used for each high and low signals, with a reduction of noise by 50% due to the common mode rejection of incoming RF-signals due to the way the 4 conductors are twisted. RF-rejection is over 130dB (25 kHz).
The Gotham 11301 is a Star-Quad balanced, single channel microphone cable with five methods of shielding, a unique construction designed by the Gotham engineers. The construction starts with a velvet matte, non-light reflecting PVC jacket then a 100% Oxygen Free Copper, Double Reussen outer shield. The Double Reussen shield provides the first two methods of shielding. All the conductors are then covered by a conductive layer of Aluminium coated Polyester. The 4 conductors is covered with a 100% Oxygen Free Copper lap shield with a conductive separation layer of Aluminium coated Polyester. Rep is used to provide strength to the cable. The Gotham 11301 GAC-4/1 Ultra-Pro signal conductors is then twisted in a star shape and this is held in place within another Aluminium coated Polyester layer.
This cable is absolutely uncompromising to achieve the maximum shielding possible while providing the flexibility and durability demanded for recording studio, staging, live performance and broadcast applications. Due to its unique construction, the Gotham 11301 can also used as a stereo or two channel, balanced pair providing very low crosstalk and individual shielding of each channel.
